GROWS to heights of 60 feet in 5 years. They have a root system that automatically regrows. So let’s use Bamboo. Not trees. Fuel, energy, BRING IT ON. It’s pretty too.

freerootical asked: Thank you for answering my question. As you may know, there are entire villages in Ethiopia that currently build with bamboo. However, one of the main causes of deforestation in Ethiopia is burning wood for cooking and heating. The rural population still relies on wood to cook and heat.

With a bamboo house it would serve as a great combination for a completely ‘green’ home.
